St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. will import Tiger Beer, Singapore's most popular premium brew.

The new agreement significantly broadens Tiger Beer's U.S. distribution opportunities by giving Asia Pacific Breweries access to AB's network of nearly 600 independent wholesalers, AB said Monday.

The deal for Tiger Beer, which is sold in about 60 countries, is effective May 1, 2006. AB did not disclose the value of the agreement.
