No takers yet for new al-Jazeera network
    Big News Network (UPI)
    Monday 3rd April, 2006

The English-language network of al-Jazeera is reportedly having a rough time finding U.S. cable carriers, it was reported Monday.

Al-Jazeera International has postponed its launch date until late summer, but has yet to find a single carrier in the United States, the New York Post reported.

The network employs mostly Western journalists including Nightline correspondent David Marash and veteran British interviewer David Frost, the Post noted.

The Qatar-based Arab network has come under fire from the Bush administration for promoting terrorism.
