Former White House chef Walter Scheib told all sorts of quirky facts about the two first families he worked for in a recent ABC Nightlight interview.

Things like current U.S. President George Bush being a fan of peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and that it was an Amish-made organic flour pretzel that he choked on, Nightline reported Monday.

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton's sudden vegetarianism caused major kitchen complications; the Bush twins received calorie counts for meals; and both first families loved enchilada dinners, he said.

Scheib was hired as head chef for the White House by first lady Hillary Clinton 11 years ago and spanned the Clinton and parts of the Bush administrations.

He was dismissed in 2005 by Laura Bush, but told ABC he doesn't hold a grudge.

For the first lady to make her own mark in the East Wing, some changes were necessary, Scheib said. Laura Bush promoted Scheib's assistant, Cristeta Comerford, to head chef, making her the first female to hold that position.
