Jeopardy! contestant Bob Harris was on the U.S. show 13 times, gained a broader interest in the world and traveled to 30 countries, landing a book deal.

Harris' book, Prisoner of Trebekistan, to be released Sept. 15, has background on Jeopardy! and tips about playing the game but also explains how the show changed his life. Acquiring the travel trivia gave him the motivation to see the places himself, The Los Angeles Times reported.

So far I've been to about 30 countries on six continents and all just in the last few years since 'Jeopardy!' Harris said.

Harris' favorites include Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey, a 1,500-year-old mosque that has become a secular museum. He describes its fantastic Byzantine architecture mixes with multiple religious icons, all swirling together in harmony.

At the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa, Harris advises, Wild baboons which emerge at dusk and chase you around screaming if you're not smart enough to be gone by then.

And at Batu Caves, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he wrote, After climbing 272 steps ... you come to a giant Indiana Jones-style cave with a 100-foot open ceiling and a Hindu temple shining in the sunlight. I challenge you not to say 'wow.'
